From our own experiences, we understand the importance of connecting to the city you live in—especially when you're living abroad. Tilburg is often described as "love at second sight," and we couldn’t agree more. We’re excited to show you the city’s hidden gems and introduce you to its sometimes blunt but mostly friendly locals.​

We host a variety of fun events to help you feel at home, including spontaneous meet-ups, English stand-up comedy nights, expat cinema screenings with English subtitles, game nights, museum trips, and social drinks across town. There’s no need to feel lonely—these events provide plenty of opportunities to spark new connections and make lasting friendships.

Visit our café

Our international café, located in the heart of the city, is open at dedicated times (see the schedule below). During World Café evenings, you can bring your own food and snacks (drinks excluded) and enjoy a cozy, laid-back atmosphere. These events are hosted by our friendly volunteers, so you can always drop by on your own and meet new people. Most attendees are approachable and eager to connect—after all, we were all new once!
